Lets go Fly a Kite....

For Family Home Evening on Monday, Trent and Emily had the activity and they bought all the kids kites to go and fly up at the Jr. High School. Here are some pictures of our activity.

This was Oaks idea of flying kites. Oak and Erika thought it was alot funner to play in the snow and get freezing cold, than fly the kites.

The walk home... I thought it was priceless. They are such good friends, and always help each other out!
We had a really good time flying kites. I can't wait till it gets a little warmer, so we can actually enjoy flying them. Hopefully sometime this week, we will be able to get out!

Jumpin Jacks...

I know I am late on posting this one. A couple weeks ago, we went to Jumpin Jacks for FHE. The kids had so much fun here. I am going to have to take them at least once a month! There is alot of pics, so bare with me. I had just got my new camera and was having a fun time taking pictures. So here you go!

I love doing the activities with the whole family. I am so happy that they are so close. I wish that Ty and Lauren were here to enjoy it with us. They are always at FHE in spirit! We love and miss you two!

So the other day, Adam said that he had a surprise for me.. I hate it when people do that.. tell you something then wont finish! Well come to find out, he has as hard of a time as I do keeping secrets! We were driving down the road a couple hours later, and he says, we are going to Boston. I was so excited. I have always wanted to go there. I did not scream and jump, and I guess the thought that I was not excited at all. But Hello.. My dream, or at least one of them are coming true! We are going in June and I am already counting down the days!!



And yes, Marcie, I will take lots of pictures and send you some.. =)

Warm weather... YAY

On Sunday, the weather was so good in town so we decided to go to the park and play. Here are just a couple pictures that I took.

New Project..

I decided that I am going to make a quilt.. Yes all by myself. I love my moms levi quilt that she has. It is so heavy and comfy! Well here is the beginning... I have all my squares cut out, and getting ready to sew them.. wish me luck! I will keep you updated with how it is going...

Naptime

So I have been playing around with my camera and decided to take some pictures of the kids.. They were sound asleep and looked so cute! Yes, Harley is 6 and still taking naps.. I love it! Here is a couple pictures of the two of them.. (yes I realize that Oakley has a girly blanket.. its the best one that keeps him warm!)

Late night craving

So tonight, Adam and I were watching a movie and talking about snacks and treats.. I said that we should make cookies tomorrow with the kids... Yeah, well it turned out to be Me making cookies at 11pm.. They were so good! If you like Peanut Butter Cookies.. I found a really quick and simple recipe..

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 egg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all together, yes that is all the ingredients. Roll into balls and smash with a fork. Bake for 8 min... (I had to bake mine for a little longer.)

The new Oakley!

This is Oakley a week ago at one of the basketball games.. Notice, LONG hair... Yes I loved it...

Uh, there is a wall....

So a week or so ago at one of Trent's basketball games, Oakley was running through the hall and decided to turn around and look at us.. Yes we were coming and so he turned to run again and ran into the BRICK wall that is between the two doors. He hit the wall so hard that it threw him to the ground. This is what happens when you run into a stationary wall! (yes, he is my kid... who would have thought....)

NO ACCIDENTS!

Today was the first day that I have tried to potty train Oakley with out any pull ups. I have been working with him for months, with the pull ups and was talking to the babysitter yesterday and she said that she will work with him more. So today was the first day. I sent him to daycare with a few pairs of pants and UNDEROOS and no accidents! Yay! You have no idea how happy I am! =)

Tyson....

So this blog is dedicated to JUST Tyson..

He leaves for Afganistan on Thursday, and I just wanted to tell him how much we all love him. He is the best uncle to the kids, and they love him so much. When we asked Harley why she loved Tyson, she says because he teases her, thats how she knows he loves her. It is so true. Tyson is the biggest teaser to the kids, and they still go back for more. So here are some pictures of Tyson. He may kill me for getting some of them, but hey... I have access to them all!
